Undertale Game Review

This game is so moving.manly tears has been shed playing this.

THE FRIENDLY RPG WHERE NOBODY HAS TO DIE

Origin (under 50 word) : Role-playing game by indie developer Toby fox. Released on September 2015. He provided the script,design and soundtrack. It started as a demo game for a kickstarter project with a goal of $5,000. It raise $51,124.00 contributed among 2398 people. Toby took 2.7 years to complete it.

Synopsis (under 50 words) : Play as a human child who has fallen underground which is separated by magic barrier. It is inhabitated by sentient being called 'monster'. Fight (or talk) your way out to return to the surface.

Game Mechanics (under 50 words) : Random monster encounter but finite monster per map. Turn by turn fighting system with addition of act system. It allows you to examine, talk and react with monster to trigger a spare(mercy) which is an alternative to kill. Killing monster gains 'exp' and gold, Sparing only gain gold.

Pro (under 50 words) : Easily understood gameplay. The storyline and soundtrack felt familiar. Awesome fight system and the act system is really fun to explore. Character  are well defined and relatable. Attention to detail in many aspect. Plot twist on many occasion. Variety of endings depending of player's action.

Con (under 50 words) ; I had to google to uncover all the different outcome and after my 3rd runthrough,i cave and just check the other outcome on youtube. Lots of hidden easter egg but it is impossible to found without 'determination'. Another issue is that this game should be available for phone.
